The Belgian FGC: where do you start?
The FGC is made up of the people who play fighting games and those who organise places to meet. You do not need a rank or esports ambitions: if you want to play with other people, you are already part of it.
The basics
Tournaments are only one part of the FGC.
Tournaments
Most brackets are open to everyone. You sign up, play your matches and can stay to watch the rest, even after you are eliminated.
Freeplay
No rankings and no obligation: take a free seat, play a few matches and rotate out when others are waiting.
Commentary and production
TOs keep the bracket moving, a production crew broadcasts the matches and commentators call the action. Much of that work is done by volunteers and local teams.
Where can you play?
In Brussels, the community mainly meets at events.
There is no single venue for the whole scene. Dates and locations vary by organiser, so follow the calendar and Discord servers to find the next setups.

The games
Line-ups change, and that is normal.
Street Fighter and Tekken often appear, but Belgium also has players for Guilty Gear, Fatal Fury, 2XKO, Under Night and many other games. A line-up always depends on interested players and available equipment.
