Interview summary
Fifteen years of Street Fighter, a Ken he considers underrated and a top 24 spot already secured at the time of the interview: JuniorLéo looks back on his UFA, with a thought for the people who keep the community going.
Fifteen years of Street Fighter, still with Ken
JuniorLéo has played Street Fighter for fifteen years. Loyal to Ken since Street Fighter V, he continues the journey with him in Street Fighter 6.
In his view, Ken is too often underrated. He places him in the upper mid-tier and finds him particularly strong this season. He feels the character’s buffs, notably to the step kick, help his neutral game.
A top 24 spot already secured
At the time of this interview, JuniorLéo already knows he will reach the top 24. He mentions wins over Moke, Tchang and LoHop and approaches his next match with confidence while respecting his opponent’s experience.
The video captures that moment in the tournament: a player happy with his run, still focused on what comes next.
Familiar faces in the Belgian scene
When asked about the Belgian community, the names come quickly: Takamura, GameIn, Phenix, Kojak and CCL. He met them through Street Fighter, even if some have since taken other paths.
Those journeys do not erase the connections. JuniorLéo highlights their involvement in the Belgian and European community, with a thought for Phenix and Street Fighter IV.
UFA, powered by its community
JuniorLéo calls UFA his favourite European event, while keeping a special fondness for Brussels Challenge.
Above all, he turns his attention to the organizers. He praises their determination to put on quality events and keep going despite financial constraints. In his eyes, that perseverance comes from the importance they place on the community.
